Grey Whiskers Holiday Gift Guide
Merry Christmas to all the old paws

In this week’s issue, here’s what we are sniffing out
🎅 Happy Holidays from our old dog house to yours 🤶

St. Nick, Ginger, Angela, Uma
For those of you who still have shopping to do, here are a few of my favorite old dog things this year!
Mini Dog Treat Maker
This treat maker creates quick, fun, soft treats that are perfect for old dogs!
Fitbark Smart Collar
If you have an active senior, you might find the Fitbark to be a great complement to your dog’s care. Our family has used Fitbarks for years. Even though there are newer, fancier smart devices out there, this one remains my favorite! Our dogs have the Fitbark 2, which has no GPS (our little old dogs aren’t risks for running away). Just watching the patterns offered in the app over time has helped me determine when and if a new problem might be appearing. The device is durable enough that we still have the first one that we bought, maybe 7 years ago.
Woof Bite N Brush
This silicone chew toy is the perfect firmness for old teeth, gums, and jaws. The company makes chews that you can insert through the middle. We often just use a better quality jerky style treat from our local pet store. Ginger loves it - it gave her about 25 minutes of chew time/distraction, and I love it because her teeth did look cleaner afterwards.
Snuggle Puppy
This little stuffed animal can provide comfort to an older dog who is lonely, grieving, anxious, or confused. There’s a little pouch that holds a heartbeat device that mimics the presence of another animal. One of the models has a spot for a warmer as well.
Warmies
If your dog doesn’t need the heartbeat, there are stuffed animals that can be microwaved to make a cozy little buddy for your old dog to snuggle with. Ginger loves hers.
👩🍳 COOK’S CORNER:
We’re all in holiday baking mode right now - don’t forget your old dog in the fun!
If your pantry is like mine, and you never have exact ingredients when you try to bake, here’s a guide to mixing and matching your own recipe combos:

and if your pup is in the mood for some muffins, this is a great recipe to try over the holidays.
